Happy May 8th!! I promised you guys a blog post about my birthday weekend and here we are!!
We started out the amazing weekend driving a few hours away to a dear friends wedding, but on the way we picked up these cute balloons that my husband so kindly popped the day before.. that was an adventure in itself.
Anywhooo, we got to the wedding and attended one of the most beautiful weddings I had ever been to! The location was “Castle Unicorn”, and let me tell you I was only disappointed with half of the name of the location hehe : ) there was a beautiful castle right next to the reception area and we even got to go to the top to check it out! A few drinks later, we finally made our way back to the hotel and crashed.
This is when it gets GOOD. Okay not too crazy, but definitely beautiful and right down my alley! We (my husband and I) went to Lauritzen Gardens and I’ll drop all of the photos down below for you!! Seriously, this is my favorite place in the entire world!! So beautiful!! There was a display of all plastic pieces created into works of art, which you’ll see down below! The plastic represents all of the plastic and junk that is dumped into our oceans, destroying our marine life, and all of the litter that us humans spread all over, hurting not only ourselves, but our beautiful animals and Mother Earth as well. It was really eye opening and the sculptures were gorgeous!
Thank you all for the birthday wishes and reading about my amazing weekend!! If you guys have been to Lauritzen Gardens, shoot me an email, I’d love to hear about what you thought and see your pictures!
